Guirong Company's "± 1100kV DC transmission project DC capacitor" has been recognized as the first major technical equipment in Guangxi in 2022

On September 21, 2023, the "± 1100kV DC capacitors for DC transmission projects" produced by Guilin Power Capacitor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guirong Company") were included in the list of the first major technical equipment in China by the Science and Technology Department, Industry and Information Technology Department, and Finance Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and were recognized as the first major technical equipment in China for 2022.

The first DC transmission project with the highest voltage level in the world, the Changji Guquan ± 1100kV UHVDC project, was officially put into operation in September 2019. The world's first ± 1100kV DC project of Guirong Company was officially put into operation in September 2019. The world's first ± 1100kV DC capacitor for the Guirong Company's DC transmission project was applied for the first time in this project. Compared with the capacitor devices used in previous projects, the "DC capacitors for ± 1100kV DC transmission projects" have technical requirements such as large single capacity, high rated voltage, multiple capacitor quantities, high capacitor tower height, and high insulation level. Therefore, the seismic resistance, surface electric field strength, insulation coordination, and height control of the device are prominent technical issues that require solving a series of difficult problems such as insulation coordination, electric field distribution, internal fault protection methods, seismic resistance, and noise reduction.
