The first domestic "AC to DC" transmission project in which Guirong Company participated in the supply, the Yangzhou Zhenjiang ± 200 kV DC transmission project, has been officially completed and put into operation

On April 28, 2024, Guilin Power Capacitor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guirong Company") officially completed and put into operation the first "AC to DC" transmission project in China, the Yangzhou Zhenjiang ± 200 kV DC transmission project, in which it participated in the supply!

The project started construction in December 2022 and was designed by China Energy Engineering Jiangsu Institute and East China Institute. It is the world's largest AC to DC transmission capacity project. The overall plan of the project is to use three DC transmission lines, with a voltage level of ± 200 kV for transmission. The maximum transmission capacity on a single DC line can reach up to 1.2 million kilowatts. Two new converter stations will be built, with the DC line starting from Shaoyou Converter Station in Yangzhou City and ending at Jindong Converter Station in Zhenjiang City. The total length of the entire line is 111 kilometers.

The products supplied by Guirong Company are all AC/DC filter capacitors and AC/DC RI capacitors for the receiving end "Jindong Converter Station", with a total of 10 types of products. The product is used to eliminate harmonics in AC/DC systems, compensate for reactive power, and improve the voltage quality of the system. The product has the characteristics of small footprint, high reliability, high seismic performance, strong anti fouling ability, low noise, and small capacitance deviation. Its technical performance has reached the international leading level. The Yangzhou Zhenjiang ± 200 kV DC transmission project, which has been completed and put into operation, is an important component of China's new power system construction. This project is the first to transform an AC transmission line into a DC transmission line, which is of great significance for improving the operational efficiency and safety of China's power grid. At the same time, this achievement also reflects China's technological strength and innovation capability in the field of energy.
